WhatsApp For Android Beta Receives 21 Revamped Emojis

WhatsApp for Android has been updated to a new beta version that gets with it revamped 21 emojis. As per a fan website recognized for correct data on WhatsApp features, WABetaInfo, the revamped emojis can be used in WhatsApp for Android beta variant 2.19.21, accessible through Google Play Beta program.

This new emojis design is projected to be accessible in the upcoming stable update for all users. The report further mentions that the Authentication feature could also be soon launched as well as WhatsApp can enable the feature remotely from 2.19.21 update. WABetaInfo reported about the fingerprint authentication feature and also divulged the feature is within its alpha development phase and has been deactivated in the 2.19.3 beta version by means of the backend.

Furthermore, the instant messaging application is stated to be functioning on an identical feature for iOS with backing for Touch ID and Face ID biometric authentication techniques. At this point, it is uncertain when the feature will be rolled out for everyone. Once enabled remotely, WhatsApp users will need to key in their fingerprint to access the application. The fingerprint verification for Android will be accessible within Settings → Account → Privacy.

On a similar note, WhatsApp has also rolled out a new update recently for the web variant of the application. The Facebook-owned firm has rolled out PIP (Picture-in-Picture) mode for its web users as well after launching it on Android and iOS.

This new feature will enable the web users to launch a video or an image with no need to launch the third-party pages or applications. The feature is a fraction of the update number 0.3.2041 that also consists of bug fixes and security, as reported by WABetaInfo. In order to install the update, users will require emptying the browser cache and reopening the web browser.
