Willie Revillame is set to make a comeback on Philippine TV soon via his new game show ‘WowoWin’ at GMA-7. A GMA Network executive confirmed that there is a negotiation between the station and the 54-year old host-comedian. This is after the final episode of his ‘Wowowillie’ game show in TV5 was aired on October 12, 2013.
“I don’t know about that date, or if and when it will happen. It’s not under us. We are not the ones talking to him. There are talks but we are not the ones involved.” GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment TV Lilybeth Rasonable told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) early this week.
This is also what GMA Vice President for Drama Productions Redgie Acuña-Magno said in an earlier interview with the paper, noting that the new show of Willie Revillame is likely to be a blocktimer. This means it will not be produced by the network, just like Eat Bulaga and other previous shows of TAPE Inc.
Although there’s nothing official yet, Willie’s “WowoWin” game and variety show is expected to be aired 3:30-5 p.m. every Sunday, starting this May, against ABS-CBN’s ASAP. Once the negotiation has been finalized, Willie Revillame will not be a GMA-7 talent. Instead, he will buy airtime from GMA-7 for P2 million a week.
Update: March 20, 2015 11 am:
Willie Revillame signed a contract with GMA Network on Friday, March 20, 2015. The event was attended by GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, President and Chief Operating Officer Mr. Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Mr. Felipe S. Yalong. WowoWin will be directed by Randy Santiago.

The upcoming comeback of Willie at GMA-7 is believed to be with the help of GMA Senior Vice-President for radio and famous newscaster Mike Enriquez and ace comedian Joey de Leon. Interestingly, Willie and Joey previously had a strong exchange of words when the former is still at ABS-CBN via his “Wowowee” show.
Willie Revillame was once a member of Hawi Boys, Randy Santiago’s supposed bodyguards in GMA-7’s defunct noontime show, Lunch Date. He also appeared in various shows of the network, such as Lovingly Yours, Helen, hosted by the late, great Helen Vela, mother of Willie’s ex-wife, Princess Punzalan.
Meanwhile, there are recent speculations that Revillame is slowly losing his fortune. This is after reports surfaced that he sold his properties in Quezon City, the Wil’s Events Place and the mall at Wil Tower. In May 2014, Willie admitted that he is into casino gambling but denied that he is hooked and has lost millions.
Nevertheless, Willie Revillame is believed to be still enjoying huge assets. This includes house and lot in Ayala Heights worth P400 million; a property in Tagaytay worth P350 million where a hotel is now being built, a private plane, a yacht, a brand-new Rolls-Royce Wraith worth P12 million, and other luxury cars.
