Vice President Leni Robredo and Comelec (Commission on Elections) Chairman Andres Bautista had a secret meeting this Tuesday, July 12, 2016. This is the according to a post at Dayaang Matuwid Facebook page around 4 hours ago. Watch the video showing VP Robredo and Chairman Bautista entering and leaving the same building, and be the judge.
As noted in the video, VP Robredo entered Urdaneta Apartments in Makati City last Tuesday, around 6 hours after the Supreme Court (SC) en banc, which acts as Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), ordered her to submit her reply to the electoral protest filed by losing vice-presidential candidate, former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Robredo, who was recently appointed by President Rordigo Duterte as the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) chief, was wearing a blue dress when she entered the said condominium. The video said that the vice president left Urdaneta Apartments at 10:26 pm, while Chairman Bautista left the same building at 10:30 pm.
There was no actual footage of the alleged secret meeting between VP Robredo and Chairman Bautista. However, she was seen entering on what has been described as the unit of socialite Baby Cruz, allegedly located at the 10th floor of Urdaneta Apartments. Before the Comelec chairman left, he talked to someone but his voice can hardly be heard.
“As the electoral case is still pending in the PET, the Filipino people would like to know: Is is legal for the Comelec chairman to meet and favor the alleged fraudulent party? If both parties have nothing to hide, why meet in secret? Dayaang Matuwid continues…” A statement reads on the last part of the video, which has over 100,00 views as of posting.
Based on the official Comelec count tally, Leni Robredo finished with 14,418,817 votes while Bongbong Marcos had 14,155,344, winning the vice presidency by only 263,473 votes. The entire counting process was filled with various controversies, including alleged cheating not only in the results but also on the part of Comelec and Smartmatic.
