Watch: Ronnie Dayan’s Sister Confirms De Lima-Dayan Affair, Sen De Lima Defends Her Morality (Video)

A sister of Ronnie Dayan confirmed that her brother and Senator Leila de Lima had an extramarital relationship. She said that she was very worried because Ronnie is a married man. Nevertheless, Sen. De Lima continues to defend herself, and claimed that Dayan and his wife were already separated during their affair. Watch GMA News video below.

In an exclusive interview with Ronnie Dayan’s older sister by GMA News reporter John Consulta aired on State of the Nation this Tuesday, November 15, she admitted knowing the romantic relationship between her brother Ronnie and then-DOJ Secretary Leila de Lima. She said that Ronnie admitted it to her when she noticed their extra closeness.

“Siguro na-develop ‘yung bawat isa sa kanila. Siyempre, araw-araw magkasama sila. Doon siguro na-develop ang relasyon nila. (Maybe they (Ronnie and De Lima) have developed love for each other, simply because they were together every day.)” Dayan’s sister said, whose name was not mentioned and face was not shown in the camera.

“Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Paano ‘yan ‘pag nalaman ng asawa mo? Anong sasabihin niya?’ Sabi naman niya, ‘Hindi ko naman sila pinapabayaan.’ (I told him, ‘What if your wife learns about it. What will she say?’ Then he told me, ‘I will not neglect them anyway.’)” The sister added, noting that De Lima went to their place in Urbiztondo, Pangasinan a lot of times.

And although she believes that Ronnie is not involved in illegal drugs, she said she fears for his life, especially that there is now a P1-million reward being offered to anyone who can give details that will lead to his arrest. She also emphasized that Dayan’s house is under her name using her own money, contrary to reports that it was De Lima’s gift to him.

This Wednesday, Sen. De Lima continues to defend her affair with Ronnie Dayan, and said, “No one can judge me on my morality.” She emphasized that she will not resign, and that no one can force her to resign. The embattled senator added that the government officials who use public money to destroy her are the ones who should leave their posts.
