Quiapo road rage suspect Von Tanto aired his side on why he ended up shooting the biker, Mark Vincent Geralde on Monday night, July 25. He admitted that he lost his temper over the victim, as the latter seemed to be arrogant at him. Apparently, this is also what several witnesses claim, with one of them coming out and recalled the details of the incident.

In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News reporter Maan Macapagal, Vhon Martin Tanto, aka Skyon Tonsky said that the altercation started when his red Hyundai Eon almost hit the bike of the victim. He said he pulled down the mirror on the right side and apologized to biker, telling him that after all, his bike should be on the side of the street.

Tanto, who was arrested this Friday,July 29 in Masbate, said that the Geralde immediately cursed at him. He added that he told the biker to stop but he still continued cursing at him, noting that he lost his temper when the biker told him that he will break the window of his car. Tanto said that Geralde was quite bigger than him, causing him to be locked-out.

“Nag-sorry na ako sa kanya, minumura pa rin ako. Nag-pangabot na kami. Llamado siya, matangkad ba. Hanggang sa nilock niya ako. Makikita naman po sa CCTV.” Von Tanto told Maan Macapagal while inside a vehicle. In the continuation of the interview, he added, “Sa lahat ng mga motorista, maging mahinahon po tayo. Huwag po niyo akong pamarisan.”

Apparently, several witnesses shared what they claim they saw that night. All of them, including a certain Bryan Yu said that it appears that Geralde was arrogant to Tanto, who later shot the biker in the face at point blank, and shot him three times again after the victim fell on the ground. A bystander named Rosell Bondoc, 18, was hit by a stray bullet from Tanto.

As reported at Inquirer, Bryan Yu said he saw Tanto’s car cutting Geralde’s bike at Casal Street, as the suspect was chasing the victim. He added that after the 2-minute fist fight, Garalde was already about to leave when he looked back at Tanto, shouting, “You son of a b—h! What do you want, come here!” Shortly, Tanto got off his car with a gun and shot Garalde.
