Watch: People Leave LP Campaign Rally in Agusan del Norte When Mar Roxas Starts His Speech (Video)
People in Cabadbaran, Agusan del Norte start to leave the LP campaign rally when its standard bearer, Mar Roxas starts to talk. The embarrassing moment happened this Monday, April 4, when he and his running mate, Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo visited the area, and was captured on the video which you can watch below to see.
As you can see on the 2-minute video, which was uploaded on the Tamaraw Riders Facebook page this Tuesday, Mar Roxas was introduced to speak on stage but many people began to leave when he started his campaign speech. As you can hear his voice, you can see some people leaving by foot while others rode their motorcycles.
According to the caption, a certain Erlfred Gatillo said that the local residents only support the candidacy of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. It was known as how many people left while Roxas is speaking, and if they returned later or not. Nevertheless, Roxas’ camp released photos showing tons of people attending the Daang Matuwid presidential campaign rally that day.
According a post at the official blog of Mar Roxas, there are 10,000-25,000 people who attended the Roxas-Robredo campaign rallies in Tandag and Bislig in Surigao del Sur, San Francisco and Bayugan at Agusan del Sur, and at Cabadbaran, Agusan del Norte.
“Nakaka-touch ang init ng pagtanggap nila sa atin dito sa Bayugan, sa San Francisco at sa lahat ng bayan na napuntahan natin dito,” Mar Roxas was quoted on the blog post, suggesting that majority of the people who attended their rallies were convinced to their plans once they get elected, and will vote for them this coming May 9 election.
Roxas also commented on the allegations that his camp is releasing edited photos online to pretend that there are tons of people attending their campaign rallies. He emphasized that the truth can be seen by watching news on TV, and that it is obvious that many people love to see them, especially now that the election is getting closer.
