Mexican singer sanitary napkin falls live TV

Having a monthly period is one of the most awkward situations for women. But how embarrassing can it be if your sanitary pad falls while you are performing live on TV? Well, this is what happened to Mexican singer Patricia Navidad recently, as you can see on the video below. And yes, her reaction afterwards is epic like no other.

According to reports, Patricia Navidad was singing “Viva Mexico” on Despierta America (Wake Up America) when her sanitary pad falls from between her legs. The morning show is live and is being watched by thousands of Mexicans. But instead of stopping her performance, the 42-year old singer finished the song as if nothing happened.

As expected, many people who watched the incident made harsh and insulting comments on social media and on YouTube after the video was uploaded. But if you think the unruly netizens can out her down, you are absolutely wrong. Instead of crying alone over the embarrassing moment, Ms. Navidad made an epic response.

“I want to make it clear that I never threw or would throw the pad. It fell by itself through a very sophisticated tunnel! Thank you, I love you. This is not something I should be ashamed of or be mocked for. But while judging, bullying and pointing at me you forget you are not what you say you are.” Patricia Navidad (@ANPNL05) tweeted, as translated to English.

“I don’t need wings to fly, I have imagination, and thanks to God, I have a sense of humor. I’m not a boxer. I’m a Warrior, and I never throw in the towel unless I don’t need it anymore!” The Mexican singer added, as she joked about the incident. In case you did not get her joke, sanitary pad (or napkin) is called sanitary towel in Mexico.

And for the men who made fun out of her embarrassing moment, Patricia Navidad, who started doing soap operas in Mexico during the 90s, gave them a very strong message on her next tweet saying, “They say that a man who treats a woman like a princess was raised by a queen, those who attack, who raised you?”

And for that, we at TN salute Patricia Navidad for being professional and strong in handling such kind of situation. We also would like to let her know that not all men are cruel and narrow-minded. We are proud to say that she earned our respect. Go, girl!!! 🙂
