David Lim Sr, the father of the Cebu road rage suspect David Lim Jr, was involved in the car accident two weeks ago that led to the death of a motorcycle rider. The incident happened at Banilad-Talamban flyover, Archbishop Reyes Ave, Cebu City on March 4, at around 3 am. The victim was identified as Philip Pogoy, a fish dealer from Mandaue City.

According to Inquirer, David Lim Sr, youngest brother of suspected drug lord Peter Lim, was driving his Nissan sports car when he hit the motor of Pogoy, who was then on the separate lane. He suffered minor injuries after the collision, and was rushed to an unnamed hospital. The fish dealer was brought to Cebu City Medical Center, but died.

Lawyer Pedro Leslie Salva, Lim family’s legal counsel, said that it was clearly an accident, and no one wanted that to happen. Nevertheless, he emphasized that David Lim Sr has no plans of running away. In fact, he will pay for the expenses for the family of the victim. A few days after, Bebong Lim, David’s wife, held a press conference about the incident.

Based on the video obtained by Sunstar Cebu, there are traces of oil on the road where David Lim Sr. hit the rider. The said oil reportedly came from the sports car’s oil cooler, which was damaged during the collision with the motorcycle. So far, it is being believed that everything was a road accident, and the elder Lim has no intention of killing anyone.
