VP Leni Robredo Net Satisfaction Rating Drops 12 Points After Resigning as HUDCC Chief, SWS Survey Says

The net satisfaction rating of Vice President Leni Robredo has dropped by 12 points, according to the Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted for the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2016, released Wednesday, December 28. This is after she resigned as the chair of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) last December 5.

Based on the latest SWS Survey, VP Leni Robredo received a net satisfaction rating of +37 (±3% sampling error margin) during the Dec. 3-6 survey conducted to 1,500 adults nationwide via face-to-face interviews. Around 58 percent of the respondents were satisfied with her performance, 21 percent were dissatisfied and 20 percent were undecided.

And although VP Robredo has maintained her “good” net satisfaction rating, she is now 12 points down as compared to her +49 (65% satisfied, 16% dissatisfied) rating from last September’s survey. As a response, the vice president still thanked the trust and support from the people, noting that “We are listening to your voice so we can serve you better.

Interestingly, the same survey showed that Senate President Aquilino ‘Koko’ Pimentel III received a net satisfaction rating of +30. Although it is still ‘good,’ it is 7 points lower than +37 he received in September. On the other hand, House Speaker Pantaleon ‘Bebot’ Alvarez’ ratings slipped by 10 points, from +22 last September to +10 this fourth quarter.

For Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, who is the last top government official in the list of those with reduced net satisfaction rating this Q4 2016, she received +16, which is 10 points down from +26 she got in September. As reported earlier, President Duterte’s net satisfaction ratings this Q4 2016 dropped only by one point.

The SWS defines “Excellent” as having a net satisfaction rating of at least +70; “Very good” is +50 to +69; “Good” is +30 to +49; “Moderate” is +10 to +29; “Neutral” is +9 to -9; “Poor” is -10 to -29; “Bad” is -30 to -49; “Very bad” is -50 to -69; and “Execrable” is -70 and below. Meanwhile, VP Robredo is still in the US for a family reunion and might return after New Year.
