Sky Cable Corporation answered back to the complaint filed by GMA Network over the apparent signal loss in some of its recent episodes of Eat Bulaga, particularly when the ‘AlDub’ Kalyeserye is being aired live. SkyCable, a business unit of ABS-CBN, said that the complaint by GMA is malicious and has no basis.
“The complaint of GMA 7 with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) last August 25, 2015, regarding shortchanging of our SKYCable subscribers via irresponsible acts, is a malicious accusation and is without basis.” SkyCable said in a statement, posted on their official Facebook page this Friday, August 28.
“If there were service interruptions that inconvenienced some of our subscribers, these were isolated and would have affected other channels, not only GMA 7. SKY is willing to cooperate with the NTC for any investigation they may wish to do regarding these incidents.” The country’s leading TV cable service provider company added.
This Thursday, August 27, a report at GMANetwork.com stated that the network filed a complaint with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) against SkyCable, which also airs Eat Bulaga live in some provinces. The said complaint was filed thru GMA’s Sr VP for Engineering Engr. Elvis B. Ancheta and Legal Affairs VP Lynn P. Delfin.
As evidence of the signal loss, GMA Network mentioned a set of tweets from July 19 to August 21, 2015 from Eat Bulaga televiewers living in Cavite, Bacolod, Iloilo and Manila. The netizens expresses their dismay to SkyCable after missing their favorite segment on the longest-running noontime show featuring Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, aka Yaya Dub.
