Good news to all Sharon-Gabby fans! The The much-awaited reunion movie of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and her ex-husband Gabby Concepcion will be released next year, 2017. This was confirmed this Thursday, December 15 by Star Cinema, the movie outfit of ABS-CBN. But how true that Senator Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan will have a cameo role in that movie?
“THIS JUST IN: It’s confirmed. Sharon-Gabby reunion movie this 2017.” ABS-CBN news reporter MJ Felipe tweeted that day, along with a photo of Gabby Concepcion being flanked by two Star Cinema officials. And although there were no further details provided, Sharon has also confirmed the said movie last month via her official YouTube channel.
“Actually the Sharon-Gabby movie is scheduled for very soon. It doesn’t depend sa akin lang or sa Star Cinema lang siyempre it will depend on Gabby, it will depend on the producers, it will depend on the demand,” The Megastar said at that time, adding she might not have a birthday concert this coming January because of her busy schedule.
The last Sharon-Gabby reunion movie was back in 1992 via “Tayong Dalawa” under Viva Films. The first ever movie of Sharon and Gabby was ‘Dear Heart’, released in 1981, under Sining Silangan Films. Sharon was then 15, while Gabby was 17. They also did ‘PS I Love You’ on the same year, and ‘My Only Love’ and ‘Cross My Heart in 1982.

Sharon and Gabby got married at the Manila Cathedral on September 23, 1984, and had one child, KC Concepcion, who was born on April 7, 1985. However, the couple separated in 1987, and cited irreconcilable differences. But because fans love them so much, they continued to make movies together later. Sharon married Kiko Pangilinan in April 1996.
Speaking of Sen. Kiko, one of our followers here at Taho News sent us a message saying that Sharon’s husband might have a special participation in the Sharon-Gabby 2017 movie. However, we cannot confirm if this is true or not. The couple has two daughters and one adopted son. Sen. Kiko Pangilinan is now the president of the Liberal Party (LP).
