A member of the team of presidential candidate, Sen. Grace Poe recently punched another member over a missing money worth P300 million, and resulted to a black eye of the victim. This is according to a tweet of famous journalist Teddy Locsin Jr. this Wednesday, April 27. If this is true, then there is now a civil war inside Sen. Poe’s camp.

“I heard someone in the Poe camp boxed someone in the Poe camp. He was asking for a missing P300 million. Look out for a black eye.” Teddy Boy Locsin Jr. (@teddyboylocsin) tweeted, without mentioning where he got the information. The former Makati congressman also did not mention the names of the people involved.

A netizen also noted that she heard about the same incident about a month ago.

On the other hand, some netizens cannot help but conclude that the alleged missing P300 million in Sen. Poe’s camp is the same money offered to Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago. This Wednesday, the People’s Reform Party standard bearer revealed that she was offered P300 million to withdraw herself from the 2016 presidential elections.

And if I lose funding, they will ask me to withdraw from the race and give me P300 million as reimbursement for my campaign expenses,” Sen. Santiago said, while campaigning at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).

Santiago, who has been in the last rank in various presidential surveys, noted that the offer was coursed through her husband, Narciso Santiago Jr. however, she did not mention names but she said there were many of them. The 70-year old lady senator said she will never accept any bride money, despite her lack of campaign contributions.

Hours later, both Sen Grace Poe and Sen. Chiz Escudero categorically denied the report. Escudero said he is a good friend of Neil Llamanzares, adding that campaign donations do not usually go to vice-presidential candidates.
