Sen De Lima Birthday Wishes: ‘New Boyfriend’ and President Duterte to Stop Accusing Her (Video)
Senator Leila de Lima has only two birthday wishes as she turns 57 this Saturday, August 27. First, she hopes that President Rodrigo will stop accusing her for being involved in illegal drugs inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP). For her second wish, the neophyte senator said she wished to found a new love of her life. Watch the video below.
“Seryoso po ito. Sana tigilan na ako ng Pangulo. Sana he puts an end very soon to this whole madness,” De Lima told Senate reporters this Thursday afternoon, August 25, during an early celebration for her 57th birthday, adding that it is only for her own sake, but also for the sake of her family, for President Duterte, and for the entire country.
“No let-up ang ginagawa sa akin. Parang wala na siyang ibang ginagawa kundi puro tsismis. Di ba, tila baga ang war against drugs napupunta sa war against De Lima? Of course it’s an exaggeration, a hyperbole statement, but iyan ang feeling ko. If you base it on accusations, on his statements, he’s really bent on destroying me at all cost,” She noted.
“Ang pangalawang wish ko ay medyo personal, sana bigyan ako ngayon ng lovelife. Now, ‘yung lovelife, ngayon wala akong lovelife. But, iniisip ko nga, with all of the things I’m going through, kailangan ko siguro ng partner tulungan naman ako.” Sen. de Lima said further, stressing out that as her personal commitment, she will never get marry again.
Apparently, Sen de Lima’s love life wish contradicts the earlier claim of President Duterte that she has a new boyfriend named Warren, but did not reveal his surname. According to the tough-taking president, de Lima’s new lover works at the MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority), citing former MMDA chair Francis Tolentino as his source.
Earlier, Sen de Lima laughed at President Duterte’s matrix and described it as a joke. During a press conference in Davao City this Thursday early morning, the president revealed a matrix, pointing the senator to illegal drugs in Bilibid, along with her former driver, Ronnie Palisoc Dayan, former Justice Undersecretary Francis Baraan, and others.
