Salutatorian Krisel Mallari Reads Full Speech, This Time Without Interruption (Video)

Kristel Mallari speech Bottomline

Krisel Mallari has finally read her salutatorian speech on its entire content and without interruption whatsoever. The controversial salutatorian appeared on ABS-CBN’s late-night show, ‘The Bottomline with Boy Abunda” this Saturday, April 18. Below is the video of Mallari, as she reads her full speech.

It can be remembered that late last March; a video of Krisel Mallari went viral on Facebook and YouTube. That time, she was rendering her salutatorian speech on their graduation day at Sto. Niño Parochial School (SNPS) in Quezon City. However, it didn’t take long and she was interrupted by a school official.

Later, SNPS posted their side on Facebook, admitting that Mallari was interrupted and was asked to stop. According to the post, her speech was not the one approved by the school. The school also noted that the content of the revised speech is damaging their reputation and the school valedictorian as well.

Krisel said there was cheating in the grades of the valedictorian and that the school tolerated it. SNPS denied the allegations, noting that Ernesto Mallari, Krisel’s father wants to see the computation of grades of the valedictorian. However, it is against the school’s policy especially without the consent of the other party.

On the same day, the valedictorian was interviewed in local TV news According to her, there was no cheating of grades, and that she is willing to return her grades to be re-computed. She also denied accusations that her family paid the school so she can be on top of Mallari, noting that they don’t have that much money.

Herminia Catud, the principal of SNPS, said that the grades of their students are properly computed. She emphasized that no cheating was made to the grades of the valedictorian and Mallari. The Department of Education (DepEd) said it will conduct an investigation regarding this matter, but has no update until now.

Meanwhile, Krisel Mallari told Boy Abunda she tried to continue her speech despite being interrupted because she believes there will be no other chance to say everything she wants to say. Katherine Mallari, Krisel’s sister told the TV host their father has been asking the school for the computation of Krisel but to no avail.
