President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III is now offering five irresistible incentives to Senator Grace Poe, in exchange of her withdrawal of her presidential bid and to support Liberal Party (LP) standard bearer, Mar Roxas. This alleged desperate move of PNoy was disclosed this Saturday, May 7, two days before the 2016 elections.
In a Facebook post by Peter Tiu Lavina, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo ‘Rody’ Duterte’s spokesperson, the LP party led by President Noynoy Aquino is negotiating with the lawyers of Sen. Poe to withdraw from the election. This is instead of accepting the fact that Mar Roxas is unlikely to win, and preparing for the transition to the next president.

According to Lavina, the alleged hefty offers include a refund all the campaign expenses of Sen. Grace Poe, P500 million (he did not mention if this will be given as cold cash or bank transfer), any desired cabinet post except Executive Secretary, ten Undersecretaries, and last but definitely not the least, 15 presidential appointees.
And although the Duterte spokesperson did not reveal his source of information, there are various posts now spreading on Facebook, stating similar information. Some posts said that Malacañang is also talking to VP Jejomar Binay and Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, to withdraw their candidacies to beat front runner, Mayor Rody Duterte.

This Friday , Mar Roxas shocked the nation when he publicly called for a talk with Sen. Grace Poe, and appealed for ‘unity’. In his short press conference, the husband of Korina Sanchez cited that the peso has dropped, which affects the price of oil, medicine, and other imported goods, noting that it is for the betterment for the country.

However, the neophyte senator said they can talk but she will never withdraw her candidacy. On the other hand, PNoy also publicly called on Poe, Binay, and Santiago to unite with Roxas, claiming that Duterte is a dictator-in-the-making. Roxas and Poe are statistical tied in the latest Pulse Asia survey, but Duterte is way far ahead.
This Saturday, May 9, VP Binay, Sen.Grace Poe, Mayor Rody Duterte, and Mar Roxas (and PNoy) will have respective Miting de Avance grand rallies in overlapping hours in the afternoon. On the other hand, Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago recently decribed Miting de Avance as useless. Nevertheless, she said her camp will have a street party.
