No More Pacquiao-Mayweather 2, He is a Coward and Sore Loser, Mayweather Says

Mayweather Pacquiao 2 Rematch No More

The supposed Pacquiao-Mayweather 2 in 2016 is now off, this was the clarification made by Floyd Mayweather. According to American undefeated boxing champion, he is not anymore interested to have a rematch with Manny Pacquiao, whom he later described as coward and sore loser, and has many excuses.

“Yeah, but I change my mind. At this particular time, no, because he’s a sore loser and he’s a coward. If you lost, accept the loss and say, ‘Mayweather, you were the better fighter.’” Floyd Mayweather told Jim Gray of Showtime on Tuesday night during a taped interview, which will be aired this Saturday.

Mayweather’s response is also to clarify that he earlier sent a text message to Stephen A. Smith of ESPN, saying he is willing to fight Pacquiao again after the latter’s shoulder surgery. The rehabilitation and recovery will obliged the Pinoy boxing icon to rest from 9-12 months. Doctors said Pacquiao has a torn rotator cuff.

“He lost. He knows he lost. I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this…I’m not going to buy into” it, “and I don’t want the public to buy into….Excuses, excuses, excuses,” he added, referring to the earlier statement of Manny Pacquiao that he could not fight him the way the world expected from him.

“He was fast. His left hand was fast, his right hand was fast and he was throwing them both fast and strong.” Mayweather added, noting that he did notice any problem with Pacquiao during their fight, which was dubbed as ‘Fight of the Century.’ It was also called the ‘richest boxing match,’ amounting to around $300 million.

Last Wednesday, Floyd Mayweather also slammed Manny Pacquiao via his Instagram account. He posted a photo of himself with the caption, “19 years in the fight game and I’ve had one excuse: Don’t have an excuse. Winners win and losers have excuses.” This is after he said he agrees to have a rematch with him.
