Maria Ozawa is being set to do a movie in the Philippines. And yes, the Japanese adult video (AV) star will join her look alike, local actress Angelica Panganiban in her upcoming film. The news came along when she arrived in the country this Monday, April 27, and was a special guest in Magic 89.9’s “Boys’ Night Out.”

The said event was part of the 9th anniversary celebration of the radio program, and Maria Ozawa was reported to have arrived at the studio past 8 p.m. But before the show started, program hosts Slick Rick, Toni-Toni and Sam YG having photos with Maria Ozawa and posted them at Instagram and became viral.

Ozawa, 29, has a Japanese mother and a French-Canadian father, and can speak English very well. She started doing AV films since she was 18 and has retired some few years ago. She appeared in some Japanese TV shows, starred in the Japanese sci-fi movie, “Erotibot” in 2011 and ‘Tokyo Species’ in 2012.

Back in 2009, Filipino fans noticed that Maria Ozawa and Angelica Panganiban are look-alike. There was even a joke that the two stars were separated at birth. In 2011, there were reports that the Japanese star will do a video in the Philippines. It was later learned a fake online account started the news and many people immediately believed it.

This time, Star Cinema is thinking of putting Angelica Panganiban and her look-alike, Maria Ozawa together in one movie. A reliable source told TN that the idea was immediately brought up when a staff of the movie production outfit talked to the Japanese star silently before the latter left the radio studio.

According to the source, Maria Ozawa did not hesitate the offer but she just want to read the storyline first. The staff allegedly showed her a photo of the Kapamilya star to Ozawa, who immediately noticed their resemblance. The Japanese star said she is very much excited to meet Angelica Panganiban in person.

As of posting, Maria Ozawa has already returned to Japan. The Angelica Panganiban-Maria Ozawa movie is still far from reality, but the source said Star Cinema is being expected to start the negotiation soon. Meanwhile, the 28-year old ‘That Thing Called Tadhana’ actress is still to comment on this issue.
