Maine Mendoza Gets Emotional Over EDSA Billboard Dream Come True (Photo)

Maine Mendoza, aka Yaya Dub can’t help but be emotional after she saw a giant billboard at EDSA, which according to her is a dream come true. The said billboard is a Cola-Cola advertisement with the tagline, “Ngayong Pasko, ano ang wish mong moment?” where she is paired with Alden Richards, the other half of the phenomenal AlDub love team of Eat Bulaga.

Mendoza, 20, who is now well-loved by millions of Filipinos all over the world, posted the photo of the Coca-Cola billboard on her official Instagram page on Sunday, November 8. on the caption, she admitted that being featured on billboard was once her dream, and that she never expected it to become a reality. She said she couldn’t help but take a photo of it.

“I still remember saying “Sana talaga magkaron din ako ng billboard ko someday!” as a kid. Passing by tons of billboards along the expressway, I used to rest my head on the car window while gaping at those gracefully photographed celebrities/models. I was dreaming to see myself on one of those advertisements one day; but back then, I knew that it will NEVER EVER come to reality. (Papa’no naman kasi diba?)

Until all of these happened.. nobody knew that my “fantasies” would come true. Nobody thought it was possible. I couldn’t help but ask my driver to stop in front of this Coca-Cola billboard (along EDSA) so I could take a photo of it, but before that, I took a couple of seconds to just stare at it.. then I found myself whispering..

Eto na…eto na sya. 🙂 “

As we all know, AlDub started by accident when Yaya Dub first saw Alden watching her Dubsmash on TV split-screen and made a very genuine smile. Since then, the creative writers of Eat Bulaga thought of a story plot, which eventually became the first ever Kalyerse in Philippine TV. But besides the ‘kilig’ factor, there were lessons in life courtesy of Lola Nidora.

In today’s episode, Vic Sotto thanked the awards they recently received from Illumine’s GIC : Innovative Awards for Television 2015 – Most Innovative TV Noontime Show award went to Eat Bulaga, Most Innovative TV Child Star award to Ryzza Mae Dizon. Most Innovative TV Comedian award to Wally Bayola, and Most Innovative TV Loveteam award to Alden and Maine.
