As you can see on the video below, the nine-member Pinoy hip-hop dance group members were introduced as coming from different poor families in the Philippines of poor origins but are willing to give their best to showcase their dancing skills. And they did it with flying colors.
Interestingly, the Junior New System was the first act to perform on the premiere telecast of Asia’s Got Talent 2015 via AXN. The all-Filipino dance group composing of males aged 16 to 23 camouflage vests, with “Kuya Mar” acting as their dancing coach whom the boys treat as their second parent.
The show is hosted by Filipinos Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez, while the four judges are F4 member Vaness Wu, former Spice Girls member Melanie C, Indonesia superstar Anggun, and Grammy-winning record producer David Foster. All of them were amazed and gave the group a very big “Yes.”
“Do you know one of the things that I love about that? So often we see a dance group and there’s a couple of people, that might be a couple of weak link, even if it just is in their faces. Every one of you is equally brilliant.” Melanie C, who first commented, told Junior New System of the Philippines.
“Junior New System is a name I’m going to remember. You guys have the power moves. You guys have the attitude. You guys had the flair and it was just very unique in the sense that you were very original in what you guys did. So great job! Mabuhay!” Vaness Wu said.
“I like the fact that when you came into the stage, you’re all shy. And then the music started. And then, you danced and you were powerful, you were fierce. And then the music changed, then you became something else. And then it was funny and it was sweet and cute. And there was a lot of things and I loved it so much!” Anggun said.
“Junior New System, Asia’s Got Talent has been looking for you! There’s not an act in America, from Beyoncé on down, that wouldn’t love to have you guys behind her.” David Foster said, with the audience members can be heard screaming on top of their voices.
