Is Jasmine Curtis-Smith not allowed to promote ‘Imagine You and Me’? As we all know, she is part of the cast of this first solo movie of the phenomenal AlDub love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza. But in a recent interview with reporters, she was asked her opinion about the movie cast, she appears to be promoting it in a very sarcastic way.
“Ok naman. Magaling. Maganda. I’m exicted to watch the film. July 13 daw ha. July 13 daw. Ano nga ba? Imagine You and Me. Tsaka ano, under APT yun, di ba? Direct Michael Tuviera daw. Sabi nila ha, di ako sure. Wala akong alam dun e.” Jasmin Curtis replied to a reporter who asked her about her connection with the AlDub love team. A TV5 reporter was present, but no Kapuso reporter was around.
The reporters laughed at her reply, with a female reporter commented, “Alam na.” Apparently, they seemed to have realized that Jasmine Curtis is somehow awkward in promoting the AlDub movie. The video clip was uploaded by a Instagram user @ms_team_dalandan this Monday, June 20, but was deleted a few minutes later.
“ahhmm.. bawal ba mg promote c Jasmine ng Movie?? para ksing…..” The netizen wrote as the caption of the video. This led to many commenters asking if she is not allowed to promote the said movie. Some of them suggested that probably, there is still no official announcement about the cast, while others said she should have not replied at all.
On Twitter, a netizen said that this is not how Jasmine should promote the movie. Another netizen noted that she should be grateful to be a part of it, while another said that the young actress is pretty but she did not expect her to talk about it that way. She is playing the role of Anna, the antagonist (kontrabida) in the upcoming AlDub film.
As announced earlier, the ‘Imagine You and Me’ movie was partly filmed in Italy. Its official theme song has the same title, with the lyrics written by no less than Maine Mendoza herself. Bossing Vic Sotto and Jimmy Antiporda collaborated for the music. Maine sang the song on Eat Bulaga last Thursday June 16, AlDub’s 11th Monthsary.
Jasmine Curtis-Smith is the younger sister of fellow actress, Kapamilya star, Anne Curtis. She has made a couple of movies since 2012, including Robin Padilla’s “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo’. She is under an exclusive contract with TV5, and had several lead roles in various shows at the Kapatid Network. Before AlDub was born, there were rumors that she and Alden were supposed to do a love-team movie.
