Go Duterte Game App Now Available for Android Phones, as Mayor Duterte Faces Disqualification

Android phone users can now download the Go Duterte game mobile app at Google Play Store. Yes, this free mobile app is just in time as Mayor Rody Duterte filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for president at Commission in Elections (Comelec) this Friday, November 27, 2015, shortly after he withdrew his candidacy for reelection as Davao City mayor.

The 15-Mb Go Duterte mobile app was created by Argene Tanyong of Kulit Games, the same game developer who created the Tanim-Bala (Bullet Planting) game app. In an interview, he said created the Go Duterte game app last Saturday, November 21, the day Mayor Duterte finally announced his candidacy in the 2016 election. And yes, he admits being a Duterte fan.

To play the Go Duterte app, users shall use the character of Mayor Rody Duterte and defend himself by shooting villains such as villains, including robbers, kidnappers, corrupt politicians, riding-in-tandem, etc. Every time the game user kills a villain, he will earn equivalent points which can be used to buy more guns and ammunition so he can fight more criminals.

Meanwhile, Mayor Rody Duterte is facing a disqualification petition, just hours after his representative, lawyer Salvador Medialdea lawyer filed his COC at COMELEC in Manila. The petition was filed by a radio broadcaster named Ruben Castor. According to him, Duterte cannot act as a substitute of Martin Diño, who withdrew his presidential candidacy.

Castor claimed that the COC of Diño is considered null and void, and therefore Duterte cannot run for president as his replacement candidate. This is because Diño typed in that he is running for mayor of Pasay City, but used the form of a presidential candidate. PDP-Laban, the political party of Duterte and Diño admitted the error, but considered it as a minor mistake.
