Eat Bulaga Ratings in Mega Manila Now Slowly Going Down, Based on AGB Nielsen
The ratings of Eat Bulaga is slowly going down, this is according to the latest data of AGB Nielsen Philippines from Mega Manila households. This is despite the fact that Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza continue to bring “kilig” moments to their fans, dubbed as AlDub Nation. Below are the figures showing the decline in TV ratings of the famous Kalyerserye.
As reported at PEP.ph this Wednesday, January 20, 2016, the top 10 episodes of Eat Bulaga from January to October 2015 posted its highest ratings (50.8%) on October 24, 2015 and the lowest (36.8%) on August 12. As you may notice, the ratings is gradually declining after the record-breaking AlDub Tamang Panahon event at the 55,00-seater Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
As shown the graph, the daily data from December 7 to 19, 2015, the AGB Nielsen Mega Manila ratings of Eat Bulaga goes up and down. On the other hand, the ratings of its rival noontime show shows only a very small ripple. Nevertheless, it is very clear that Eat Bulaga is still leads over It’s Showtime with a double-digit difference during that period of time.
Back in November 2015, AGB Nielsen also released their data showing that Eat Bulaga beats It’s Showtime even when the phenomenal AlDub was not born yet. The said data were from July 1, 2015 to July 15, 2015, where Eat Bulaga had an average rating of 20% while It’s Showtime’s only had an average rating of 12%. AlDub was born on July 16, 2015.
But as also reported at PEP.ph, the data of AGB Nielsen showed that Eat Bulaga ratings from January 1 to 16, 2016 have not yet reached the 30% percent. The lowest rating was 21.3% (January 6) while the highest rating was 29.9% (January 2). The ratings of It’s Showtime was not mentioned, but the report noted that Eat Bulaga is still the most-watched noontime show.
Meanwhile, Kantar Media recently released their own data of the It’s Showtime vs Eat Bulaga TV ratings where Eat Bulaga was leading from January 1 to 9, 2016. However, the ABS-CBN noontime show started to gain lead on Monday, January 11, 2016. That time, It’s Showtime is starting its new segment, the comeback of the singing competition, ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan.’
