Cynthia Patag said that Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio might run for president in 2020. As a response, the presidential daughter called her ‘bobo at bangag’ (stupid and high on drugs), and just laughed about it. Apparently, the former cast member of ‘Palibahasa Lalaki’ forgot that the next presidential election will be in 2022, not 2020.
“Soon after he assumed the presidency, I heard from an unassailable source that DU30’s daughter, Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte, had begun training for the role of president in 2020. There’s a term for that. It’s called POLITICAL DYNASTY.” Cynthia Patag wrote on her official Facebook page this Monday, December 19.
“Para lang maemphasize na bobo ka at bangag, ano ulet ang mangyayari sa 2020? Hahahahahaha #pasikat #turd” Mayor Inday Sara Duterte wrote on her official Facebook page a few hours later, along with the screenshot of Cynthia Patag’s Facebook post. Last August, she announced being pregnant witth triplets, but lost two of them in September.
Inday Sara Duterte is the eldest daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte, and is the first woman to be elected as mayor of Davao City. Her older brother, Paolo Duterte is now the vice mayor of the said city. Being a tough leader just like her father, Mayor Inday Sara threw punches at a local sheriff in July 2011 over a demolition of squatters in her city.
On the other hand, Cynthia Patag is known President Duterte crtic and a huge supporter of losing presidential candidate of Liberal Party (LP), Mar Roxas. Last October, she was heavily criticized for posting wrong story on Facebook, saying that musician Noli Asensio was killed as part of Duterte’s war on drugs. She later apologized for her mistake.
Back in June 2014, Cynthia Patag called the victims of Typhoon Yolanda as squatters, saying thaty they have no right to complain. She then apologized, and admitted that her Facebook post was insensitive. As of posting, she has not yet replied to Mayor Inday Sara’s statement. The actress-comedienne has also not yet corrected her earlier post.
