‘Beauty and the Bestie’ Direk Wenn V. Deramas finally speaks on the ticket-swapping allegations in the on-going Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2015. Earlier, some AlDub fans who watched ‘My Bebe Love’ claimed that movie tickets given to them belonged to another movie. Direk Jose Javier Reyes and SM Cinema have confirmed the said incidents.
Apparently, Direk Deramas is questioning and gave his analysis on a tweet of a certain Monica Mapalo showing a torn ticket of SM Bacoor Cinema 3 with ‘Beauty and the Bestie’ printed on it. The ticket was dated December 25, 2015 (Christmas Day), the first showing day of both movies and other official entries for the MMFF 2015.
According to Deramas, the AlDUB fan should not be keeping the movie ticket in complete because it is being torn in the middle, and that the other half is submitted to the ticket girl before she could enter the cinema. In his opinion, the original post was stolen and was edited to create a controversy. However, the said post has been spread on social media, but we cannot find it on his official Facebook page.

Upon checking on the official website of SM Bacoor, we learned that ‘Beauty and the Bestie’ is being shown at Cinema 1 and 3, while ‘My Bebe Love’ is shown at Cinema 4 and 6. However, a photo of five ‘Beauty and the Bestie’ movie tickets were posted at Alden Nation Instagram account, noting that the movie goer is going to watch ‘My Bebe Love’ instead.
On a tweet by Direk Jose Javier Reyes, he said that the ticket-swapping incidents are true according to the producers of ‘My Bebe Love.’ He also suggest movie goers to check if the title of the movie printed on the tickets is the one they really want to watch. Nevertheless, the award winning director asked fans to be calm, report any anomalies and post them on social media.
Meanwhile, SM Cinema confirmed on Twitter that there had been a mistake in the printing of some tickets because of the high volume of tickets purchased, and apologized. However, the tweets have been deleted for unknown reasons. On the other hand, the MMFF said on is official Facebook page that they already conducted an investigation and that there was no ticket swapping.
