Two policewomen of the Angeles City police posed with Mark Anthony Fernandez inside the police station, after the actor was arrested for allegedly possession of 1 kilo of marijuana inside his car last Monday night. Apparently, the lady cops are now in hot water and could be subject to reprimand. The photo is now going viral and being highly crticized.

According to a report at GMA News this Wednesday, the 2 lady cops posed with Mark Anthony Fernandez after the former matinee idol underwent profiling, and that the photo was taken by a unnamed barangay official who posted it online. Their names were not mentioned, but they said that they did not post it on their respective social media accounts.

On the other hand, Chief Inspector Francisco Guevarra Jr, the Commander of Station 6, where Mark Anthony Fernandez is now detained, said that the policewomen in question told him that they only want a souvenir photo with the ‘Gwapings’ star. However, Powee Capino, digital and social media manager of Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, is not happy.

“I’m sorry but I think the PNP should call out or reprimand these two officers. We are at war against drugs but they do this? How can the people think we are serious in the campaign against illegal drugs when police do idiotic stuff like these, assuming this was taken after the fact that he was apprehended.” Powee Capino wrote on Facebook.

Apparently, there are two different versions pertaining the arrest of Fernandez. Based on Angeles City police, they noticed that his yellow Ford Mustang has no plate number. The actor allegedly escaped the checkpoint, and was only stopped after they shot the tires of his car. Police said that they found the marijuana package at the passenger seat.

On the other hand, Fernandez said he was not arrested at checkpoint. Although he admitted planning to buy marijuana that time to prevent cancer, he claimed that he was not able to get the illegal drugs because the authorities suddenly arrived, and arrested him. He noted that the supposed supplier ran away and has successfully escaped from the cops.
